  1. A typical example of political expediency in so much as to take a portion of the electorate for a ride. How competent are our politicians to talk about religion? It is time we the people sit up and take hold of the society. There is no absolute definitions for secularism and Hindutva. The meanings of these words are defined by individuals as per their desired perception. Therein lies the paradox. These words matter little except to raise agenda based controversies. There can be a life without these words too. A better, more rewarding life. We the people have to see through the politics in these words and just ignore /stop using these words. Tail piece: Unless we change the basic narrative in the society, the politicians (even very senior, elderly inconsequential ones) will exploit and the people will let themselves be exploited by design or by default.
