@johnstanczyk4030 yes, bhai.. Delhi is the oldest metro in the world, founded millennia ago. Also it is land locked by a distance in all sides... Yes, pure air is a must.... Attempts are being made to improve. It cant be done by comparing with the incomparable . Show me another democracy with 1.4 b people. Stay well John.

@surojeetchatterjee The history of India and how its cities developed, the size and population of Japan( equal to a state in India) are all different. Do you really compare Tokyo with Indian cities in what criteria? Read Indian history between 1947 and 1992… almost five decades of inaction.More importantly what India needs now is a strong goverment for bringing in reforms in Judiciary, Police (already suggested by SC in 2009 but not implemented by states), farm, land, education, labour, more in economy, direct taxes, citizen identity, criminal laws, national security etc. Our democracy is a laggard where traditionally (since decades) new policies are opposed for agenda based or parochial reasons. Let us hope we get very strong governments for the next 3 decades…. The gibberish spoken by political parties these days is just that…gibberish Enjoy, smile, laugh

Lot of structural changes yet pending.Reforms are required in Judiciary, Police (already suggested by SC in 2009 but not implemented by states), farm, land, education, labour, more in economy, direct taxes, citizen identity, criminal laws, national security etc. Our democracy is a laggard where traditionally (*since decades*) new policies are opposed for agenda based or parochial reasons. @riteshsinghchoudhary115 That is a naive question. India is a vast country with over 1.4 billion population. Very difficult to govern and governments, state and center are always accountable for all omissions and commissions, always. But to answer your question directly I commend this government for vision, sincerity and action, without any hesitation. They do have some failings and many achievements too. Everything in this world is relative. In that respect this governments is doing a much better job than most previous governments. If you have a different view, you are entitled to it and I respect your right to have that view. Urban management is for the local governments within policies…. Hence I am dwelling on policies …. You can’t compare Japanese cities and American cities with that of India. Governance is not in silos it encompasses a whole lot of things…. Hence I veered. Rest easy….
