Comments by "" (@kallachi729) on "Death and journalism: India’s Covid deaths are undercounted, but twice the Partition toll?" video.
If statistics is the key, here is a simple solution arrive at COVID deaths for a given period : COVID deaths for a given period = Total deaths for the period - number of deaths for the same period in 2019. That should give a near enough correct figure. Right?

True. The COVID deaths and cases are undercounted. It is bound to happen in India (may be elsewhere too) where in normal times the births and deaths are not counted. In a country, with a population of nearly 140 billion, where there is no Unique uniform identity for citizens, what else do you expect? Tailpiece: There are countries where even lottery tickets are sold against the Unique social security numbers of citizens. The buck (as somebody said lately) stops with us Citizens to decide whether we want to become a developed Nation or forever remain a developing Nation.
