  1. SG, very informative as usual. My take. Meritocracy (ranking) may not be the way forward and most often fail to deliver in the larger scheme of things. For instance…Is it right that all currencies are “ranked” against the dollar, which by itself is perched on top against all the criteria for ranking? ($ is the most debt laden currency in the world). Tailpiece: Do you, or anybody, feel that with a population of 130cr+, there should be per capita ranking? Smell the coffee at home…. the aroma will indicate the mix. it is a much better way forward for India and not comparisons with Nations the size of one of its states. Was Salvatore also implying this?
