Is signing MOUs with CCP by all major political parties in India, like it was done by a major political party in the past, an answer? Just asking. A poor and incomplete analysis. Tailpiece: unfortunately, SG, you missed a major point. In all these past decades until US leaving Afghanistan, Pakistan had been an ally of the US in a contrived fight against “terror”. That prevented Pak sharing the same bed with China although they slept in the same room. The equation is a bit different now. Also refer to the recent Bonhomie between Russia and China; is there more danger there? The whole issue is much beyond India (not) cozying up to Pakistan, which was your "final" analysis. Disclaimer: The positive is there is a “debate” on the issue in the Parliament. Way to go.

@Shuaib Hussain oh! Hi Shuaib. When did India sign a defence pact with the US? Pak gifting away part of occupied Kashmir to China, exchange of stolen nuclear materials, Chinese loans, China defending Pak terrorists in the UN and many such bilateral activities between these two countries all took place recently, right?
