Obviously a political posturing. OK, this is democracy. But many Indians like me do not consider this or that a victory. But then the language of politics in our Nation is suck. We have to endure it, I suppose. Can some opposition political party explain through a white paper, how the rescinded farm laws do not benefit the farmers of India or any Nation which has such laws? Can that party also explain why only about 30% farmers from 20% geographical extent of India were protesting? How can it be a “victory” of farmers of India let alone people of India. As Indians we want the opposition to function responsibly in an informed manner. Be sure, that we will vote in any party that can really deliver. Tailpiece: The investments are flowing back to China because with all its warts the Chinese Goverment can take decisions and implement them. If India succumb to protests by minuscule population and vested interests and allow these agenda based “agitations” to derail its progressive policies, we will forever be a laggard democracy and remain the favorite place of the Western press and a large section of our own (mirroring) media to showcase our “backwardness”.
