If we reflect objectively, probability it was only during PM Narasihma Rao’s stewardship,the Congress Government (though a minority) acted with purpose and a long term view of the economy. For the rest of the rule of the Congress we had just reactions and no proactive or farsighted actions for the economy. The congress party can get out of this rut only with a leadership from outside the “family”. A view without any animosity towards anyone or love for some one else. Tailpiece: Congress will do well if interests of the Nation drive the internal dynamics of the party.
