  1. What about the role of the people in all this? To absolve religious leaders from finding a long standing solution and blaming the politicians fo these social ills is myopic. It is just the reason why the problem lingers on. If the media do not discuss this in such animated manner using those who do not know a thing of society, history and religion, as seen on some tv channels, people will find a way to solve the issues. There is an initiative by Mohan Bhagwat. Tolerance etc. is not a one way street. Religion is not essential for life. It is just a mirage used to exploit and blackmail people. Religion is not essential to reach GOD. And let not archaic beliefs hijack society. Tailpiece: Regimented religions have to come down from pedestals of “My way is highway”, even if scriptures have to be rewritten. A plain speak.
