  1. A very correct analysis. But to what avail? How does it help anything? Let me explain… In a diverse Democracy as India, these plays were, is and will be the order of the day to win elections. A deja Vu. Let us ignore these and hope they will disappear in favor of a good economy and living conditions for all. Let the media concentrate on living a life for all and not highlight such plays by political parties, only then we can hope to eliminate “cast(e)ing” a vote rather than go out and vote. Media has to take its share of responsibility for this to happen. Tailpiece: In India people go out to cast(e) their votes while in all other democracies people just go out and vote. I suppose we have to point fingers at ourselves rather than at the politicians, if this is to be corrected.
