It is a presumptuous statement by Mr. Vir Singhvi to say that Indians do not protect institutions. In the last five decades or so, it is more than obvious that the elected representatives (some times in collusion with some media who look for contrarian views for TRP) who stall parliament proceedings for reasons other than the stated when there are more pressing needs from them to be discussing issues of National importance. A look at the productive functioning hours of the August houses in the past few decades will support my case. The media and its stalwarts will do well to reportedly bring out this point and impress upon the MPS to do their job rather than always point fingers at the electorate. Tailpiece: The people are well aware what is good for them. The recent drama is a sham. The media should get more aware of what is good for the people and report their frustration …. at the opposition opposing only to regain power.
