  1. Yes we are cricket crazy partisans…. Disclaimer: I am not a religious bigot, but I say my prayer every day privately in my own way and do not wear my GOD on my sleeve. 1. When the sign of the cross is made by players on the field, there is nothing religious about it. 2. When prayers (kissing the ground etc..) are offered in a particular way on the cricket field, there is nothing religious about it. 3. When before an interview (after the match etc.) when some players invoke a religious prayer (Bis… ), there is nothing religious about it. But when a sizable section of a crown chants the name of a particular deity, the heavens (or hell) or the sky some down as everything about it religious…. Let us get real….. and not cry wolf.
