Let us face it. With the Indian constitution discriminating citizens based on caste and religion, India can never be a secular Nation, which calls for separation of religion and Government. It becomes more difficult as there are other Government policies, since Independence, which provides concessions based on caste and religion. At best India is a Pluralistic Nation practicing different religions. In the circumstance the onus to maintain harmony in the society is with the people. The rhetoric and the shrill ventilation by politicians on secularism and religion is just to mislead the people with the aim to get/remain in power and hence purely based to make money. We the people of India, should realize this at least now, and work for enhancing the economy as one People and not the Governments.Let us not be exploited.
