A good analysis. My two bit. We must realize that politicians do not divide societies. In India religions, castes, languages, regional peculiarities, weather etc… were not created by politicians. Politicians sure exploit the differences by appealing to sentiments to nurse support bases. That is how politics works in a democracy.
