People have lived like this for centuries. It is just that everything is coming out because of the available communication media -especially social media and digital media, where even I can say my piece. As usual, vested interests exploit this chaos. In principle nothing has changed.

Even main stream news are not above reproach… The other day, during a video call, I enquired from a friend whether he had got the first jab of the vaccine. Immediately I sensed a worried look in his face. The reason, he explained, was because it was all over TV that after a vaccine dose one is susceptible to life threatening blood clots. There just was no point in explaining the real thing to him. The Indian media has driven it into him by repeating half-truths. It becomes a belief. How would I know better than the TV people? On legal analysis the media would not have said anything wrong. But the way it is, as are other news items, presented is all wrong – with wrong emphasis at the wrong places. It is like that for every news item. Emphasis on the negatives. This is sad. And the new entrants to the media are also learning it all wrong! Tail piece: Real thing and optimism has never killed the cat!!!
