  1. OK. We should not hide from the truth. But pray tell us where are the hungry Indians hiding? Identify them. We can surely give them all at least one square meal a day. Unless this can be identified, the report, unfortunately, will remain just that. A report - notwithstanding the reputation and history of the “reporters”. Else, name the index something else. Like health or nutrition index. Yes genetically, because of malnutrition over generations, a large number of Indians need additional nutrients to catch up. That is the reality. Let us address it that way and not as “hunger index” and gloss over the real need.
