  1. What is opposition unity? Is it like a Lagan cricket team assembled to defeat a team of ruling dispensation on a playing field? Is the unity a fantasy? If so, the meetings mean that the opposition is not considering policies etc.. of the Government. The is just to defeat another party. Governance, progress, economy etc. are passé and don’t mean anything. The opposition should be opposing selectively the policies etc... If the opposition considers that all what the ruling dispensation does is bad, India will forever remain a laggard democracy. Tailpiece: what is opposition ‘unity’ anyway? Just a means to grab power?
