  1. It doesn't often happen. But I agree completely with Owen Jones on this. Now if only, instead of focussing on (as usual) the conservatives, Owen could perhaps focus on the problem? After all, the UK has been attacked. And it's the tories who are taking a stand, while Corbyn is, yet again, playing the useful idiot. Ditch the rancid old Marxist, and get in some proper leadership!

  2. The 'austerity' cash didn't go anywhere. The fact is the UK was spending £39 billion a year on interest repayments alone. That's more than the housing and environment budget combined. Or around a quarter of the total NHS budget. It couldn't afford to do that without borrowing more. And adding that to the already massive debt. Which, obviously, would increase yearly interest repayments.

  4. D. Arran Twenty seven other countries agree with the UK. Many of those countries have been targets of Russian aggression themselves. Terribly sorry that Theresa May has not consulted you while showing you the intelligence. I guess there might be a reason for that? Either way, the UK is simply expelling Russian diplomats. As are many other countries. If Russia has a problem with that, it should work harder at being less sinister.

  5. D. Arran Sorry, don't follow your confused logic. Russia used weapons grade chemical nerve agents in an attack in the UK because... the Greek economy isn't doing so well? High oil prices benefit the energy export reliant Russian economy. So if it's in anyone's interest to keep the war going in Syria, its in Russia's. Remember the war has gone on for six years, despite Putin/Assad claiming victory practically every month. And I wonder how much money the Syrian people owe the Russian government for all those explosives and chemicals Moscow has been dropping on them?
