Syria even had an embassy in US until 2014.. Current leader doesnt want US there, but many of the people there and opposition to him DO. And US has been the biggest donor of humanitarian aid to the people of the country. So the crimal wimp leader can go pound salt. US will stay as long as they like and are supported and wanted there by many.
