The Church has always cozied up with the powerful, they will to China, they did to Adolf Hitler.... Think about that!

@HolyLegion12 The church should have done far more instead of nothing. Hitler was a catholic

@HolyLegion12 You are defending the Church by mention a few examples of a few individuals. I admit I don't know about the cases you are saying. But answer this: Will you say the Church did everything in its power to condemn Hitler during the war years, that it condemned the mass killing of Jews and others as it was happening, rejecting Hitler, applied Bible principles not to kill others and that it told all Catholics in Germany it does not support Hitler and widely exposed the Nazi Party for the killings of Jews and others in the country? Did the Catholic Church show they were Christian and followed Jesus' advice of not taking up the sword and telling ALL Catholics to not take up the sword or join in the war effort? Or were German Catholics killing British Catholics?

@LetGodbeGlorified Oh right, that makes it all better then... 🙄

@HolyLegion12 You speak of pre 1933 years. Had they done everything to condemn him, the War may never have happened. When you compare the photos of the Pope shaking hands with Adolf Hitler, and how it gets involved with the leaders of the world, you see stark contrasts between THAT and the actions of Jesus Christ. Please tell me where Jesus said it was OK for his followers to fight each other because they live in different lands! You won't be able to. If you wish to support that group of people, its up to you. Jesus comdemns their actions by his words and actions as does the Bible. Hope one day you will see it for what it is, instead of defending a vile corrupt and child abusing religion which allows its own members to fight in a bloody war and says nothing.

@LetGodbeGlorified LOL. Do some research on that Albert Eistein quote in the Time magazine in 1940 you mentioned. According to Eistein that quote was exaggerated. Plus that statement you quoted was made YEARS BEFORE 1940!! You like to ignore the silence of the Chruch up to 1945... Shame. You'd make a good lawyer. "Yes he killed 300 people, but he did once give to charity...."

@HolyLegion12 NO NO NO! I am not saying about the Church preventing him getting into power, which happened in 1933. When did I say that? THE WAR YEARS 1939-45 is the period of time I am mostly interested in. Yes the years up to 1939 are interesting too. Now. DURING the war years, WHEN did the Church & the Vatican say to all its people "DO NOT involve yourselves in this war. Stay politically neutral. As Jesus would tell us. DO NOT FIGHT" or words of that effect. Imagine if ALL Catholics and the priests- a third of Germans stayed out of the war effort, imagine had the Vatican spoken out during the war years, the War might have ended years before 1945. Instead they bowed their knees to Hitler and follow his orders to go into battle, and gave blessings to the troops and the vatican remained silent. I cannot go on having this arguement. History speaks for itself
