@lois081073 And way too great a percentage aren’t turning out well these days.

They go ahead and do it because the taxpayers are forced to support their children. I don’t have kids because I can’t afford them. Because i didn’t cause myself hardship, I’m forced to pay for theirs.
37
@kumi9479 There’s hardly anything of quality on TV anyway.
30
Taxes which the government then spends on people who do all the wrong things.
29
All of God’s creatures work. And I’m sure she was taught to keep her legs closed.
23
I don’t appreciate the program burying the lead with regard to Emilia. I felt bad for her after learning she’d been a union sprinkler fitter in the first episode. After learning in this episode she did all the wrong things before that - not so much.
14
@saturationstation1446 Millennials are entitled. Even the ones who grew up in Tijuana and live in a trailer park garage. 🙄
13
@Gobbldeegoo1 Would you rather look for food every day like the animals?
12
@ligbzd837 Hilton is really hampered. First he was born in the US but raised in Mexico. So he’s not allowed to work in Mexico, but he doesn’t speak English. Then, according to him, his mom kicked him out for not being able to contribute enough to the household. Because of the situation SHE set up. So he’s here doing the bottom-rung job. And I have an inkling this little GF and her mom intended for her to get pregnant and come to the US with him. Where is the Kennedy family?

Elizabeth made a very poor decision by getting involved with that guy. His being sexy doesn’t put food on the table. He needs to get established before getting involved with anyone. Her parents sacrificed for her education, and she deliberately chose to bring hardship on herself.
11
@happycook6737 I agree. No money and no space. The baby will go without something because of the cost of that tacky teddy bear. Or - here’s a revolutionary idea - he could have used that money to pay a token amount of the medical bills.
7
@mmp495 It takes a little planning and self-discipline not to bring problems on yourself.
7
@3namechangezalowdevry90day7 He would have found a better girl if he’d given himself a chance to learn English and prosper first.
6
And they shouldn’t be living in a garage. The police and local prosecutors should have put a stop to that situation pronto.
5
@Valhalla_Heathen How interesting. How are you allowed to stay there?
4
I thought it was nice that he has friends at work, and they go out and shoot the breeze. The conversation doesn’t have to be strictly logical. Little did they know that ten years later, people really don’t want to work.
4
That bird looked unhappy and stressed, with its head in the corner of the cage.
4
@Mariatrieseverything Okay, I can see that.
4
@more2me100 I agree with mothers staying home. But Hilton wasn’t ready to provide for a family.
3
@janiceschroeder9908 José is the guy who married Elizabeth, the high school counselor.
3
@Judy-mw7mo She was actually acquiescing to Hilton telling her she’d have to take care of the babies so he could sleep, otherwise he’d be useless at work. Yes, working on the lowest rung of a food service vendor at Google doesn’t entitle you to live like the techies.
3
@HiltonRayKennedyIII Hi Hilton. You could obtain Mexican citizenship if you wanted to, right, and have dual citizenship? My friend was born in Mexico. His mom is Mexican; dad was American. The dad had a business in Mexico, married his mom, and they had five kids. He never bothered to get their US citizenship. So irresponsible. Then he died. The mom had a terrible time securing their US citizenship.
3
@itsnick37 I don’t think he’s even divorced yet! They’re getting way ahead of things IMO.
3
@raindropmangoes It wasn’t a decision. It was “failing to plan = planning to fail”.
3
Yep. You can’t just have kids willy-nilly. And if you invest $10K in an S&P 500 index fund for your newborn, he will not have to save for retirement.
2
@Judy-mw7mo That was her response to his saying if she wanted him to get up with the babies, she’d need to work. She chose to get up. Yep, they had no business making kids.
2
@_nimrod92 She wouldn’t have brought them through the airport. Born here, they’d be US citizens, entitled to everything. I’m a half-breed, but my family is far removed from that dynamic. My grandma was born in Arizona three years after it became part of the U.S. Her parents didn’t cross the border; the border crossed them. My grandpa was born in Mexico in 1913 and grew up going back and forth between El Paso and Chihuahua. In my family, all of the girls were raised to become educated. We all have advanced degrees and a lot to lose by choosing the wrong man. In my opinion, and that of elder relatives still in El Paso, the border needs to be closed. Nice chatting with you!
2
@royh2618 Yikes. They can’t afford it. They can only squeak by with the same payment as Elizabeth was making on her parents’ house. And I wonder if her parents moved in with them. That had been the original plan.
2
Smart. There are unmotivated young people working at my mailbox place year in and year out. If they acted like they has any capabilities, one of the customers would hire them. Lots of successful people have mail service there. They aren’t thinking.
2
@tidathery9787 Garages are not living space. Go to the city for approval if you think otherwise.
2
@ingridakerblom7577 I would love to visit Finland. One big difference is that in Finland you pay a lot more tax. We keep more of our own money and we’re responsible for ourselves. Socialist polices can only work in a homogenous society. In the U.S. we have the entire gamut of ethnicities and values. It’s common to encounter rudeness and disrespect for both people and property all day long.
2
@user_abcxyzz She’s 28 now. The youngest millennials are now 27.
1
@raquelalhaqab5994 The point was, every girl knows better.
1
@TopNotchTii Thank you! How much does that cost?
1
@aidashelby9931 This was ten years ago.
1
@fdm2155 No, that’s your statement, not mine.
1
@_nimrod92 Yes, we are mainstream, and nobody in my family has ever received anything from the government except the Medicare and Social Security they paid into. I’m not doing anything in particular for my family, I am just living as I was taught by my elders. I suppose I am honoring them, and I set the example for all of my younger cousins. 🥰
1
Yes, it’s nice to chew the fat with people.
1
@_nimrod92 I think so, too. Hilton is a US citizen, he’s smart, motivated, hard-working, and has a kind heart. If he were my son, I would have taught him not to get into this situation.
1
He’s adorable.
1
@tidathery9787 They should clean it up and bus everybody back to their home states.
1
@tidathery9787 Or you could start making demands of your mayor and city council.
1
@janiceschroeder9908 It’s not right for other tired, hardworking taxpayers to have to support them. Welfare was meant to keep widows from having to get jobs, so they could stay home and raise their children. Times have changed. Now it’s normal for mothers to work full-time. So there should be no more welfare.
