A lot of people were put out of business. They aren't capable of producing enough oil for the nation. On top of it, you demonize them for doing good work. Why would they work hard to make energy cheap, when they can just do no new drilling and get loved by the mainstream media. Sure, energy prices will go up, and they will make tons of money, but the beer part is, mainstream media will praise them for helping people move to renewables due to high prices.

  45. 350*12= 4200. Covers the property tax increase plus 1200 a year if solar and battery can fill your needs. Also, if you can sell energy back, that's big too. This of course assumes you are able to get solar to cover you completely. I know you don't use ac all the time, but I expect energy prices to go up massively. At least 3x over the coming years. We aren't remotely prepared to do this transition. I'm reviewing energy stocks for my portfolio. I couldn't care less about ESG, if it makes me money, I buy it.

The inflation reduction act will provide about 100B in subsidies over 5 years to Tesla alone, not including other auto makers, according to my estimates. The democrats must have not done math correctly, because 7500 * 10m cars Elon wants to produce is huge. And the act lasts 10 years with no cap....

Dominion asked for 2.7 billion so the reason that fox paid 800 million is because Fox felt that there was a 30% chance they would lose and Dominion agree with that amount and accepted the 800 million settlement which is 30% of what they asked for. And then you're saying it's so much money but that's not a lot of money. It does not change my valuation of Fox at all as an investor. Hence why Fox stock went up. The media is framing it this way, but if you think about this logically, if either party could win the case outright they would have taken it to court but you always settle when it is a toss-up. Eight hundred million dollars isn't a lot of money in the business world for Fox. Boohoo we lost half a year of income.... Covid was far worse and stocks bounced back fine. Fox paid the 800 million dollars because 800 million dollars to fox isn't a big deal. They make 1.5B a year now and I'm too lazy to look but I'm pretty sure they do more during election cycle so..... Ya.... I'd buy fox shares but imo, TV advertising dollars aren't secure. That's what I care about is an investor not this idiotic 800 million dollars, don't talk to me about numbers under a billion... Wtf.... Lol.
