Dominion asked for 2.7 billion so the reason that fox paid 800 million is because Fox felt that there was a 30% chance they would lose and Dominion agree with that amount and accepted the 800 million settlement which is 30% of what they asked for. And then you're saying it's so much money but that's not a lot of money. It does not change my valuation of Fox at all as an investor. Hence why Fox stock went up. The media is framing it this way, but if you think about this logically, if either party could win the case outright they would have taken it to court but you always settle when it is a toss-up. Eight hundred million dollars isn't a lot of money in the business world for Fox. Boohoo we lost half a year of income.... Covid was far worse and stocks bounced back fine. Fox paid the 800 million dollars because 800 million dollars to fox isn't a big deal. They make 1.5B a year now and I'm too lazy to look but I'm pretty sure they do more during election cycle so..... Ya.... I'd buy fox shares but imo, TV advertising dollars aren't secure. That's what I care about is an investor not this idiotic 800 million dollars, don't talk to me about numbers under a billion... Wtf.... Lol.

  2. If dominion was right, they wouldn't have settled for less money... They would have taken it to court. You can use this idiotic argument both ways. Or, you can be intelligent. Dominion asked for 2.7, fox paid 30% of it because they felt there was a 30% chance they would lose, and Dominion agreed and accepted the amount. This is just a basic civil lawsuit 101.....
