They just aren't doing extra increases because of the current situation. Sorry dude, we have our capital allocation plans in place, and we aren't deviating because of a short term crisis. Nope. Stupid idea. Execute the plan.

  2. If the Biden administration wants energy companies to increase production, we as investors need a good reason to take the risk. That's huge investment, on investments we've gotten f'd on multiple times in a row. Energy has not been a good trade. The industry finally has gotten some control. Give a tax break on the additional barrels of oil for the next 10 years. Otherwise, I'm not allocating capital for you. I'll buy back stock. Because our stock is trading at 12.5%-30% yields.... You won't get that anywhere else. Why the F would I not buy it back vs take some stupid risk if you won't give me something in return?
