This generation of college graduates are a joke. They didn't have to do ANYTHING. hell, College was easy even when I was in school. I literally just asked teachers for grades and 80% of the time they'd just say f it and give me the grade. "yo... Come on... You know I know this stuff.... I just didn't try the first half the semester... I was drinking... Straight up. We're talking now, a grade is really just how well I know the material right. Not like anyone else going to show up to your ta hours, I show up all the time... Ask me something." I slick talked a lot of my grades. Not saying I didn't know it, but I mean, if you could do that 15 years ago.... It's basically just a cake walk now if you don't even need to test to get in....

Ya... It's the only reason I'd want a Harvard degree. Not for the actual academics, which I have zero faith in now.

Judging by the data, I should have easily gotten into Harvard... Kinda think being able to afford going to the school killed my personality score. Seems like they want to virtue signal with their minority applicants, and I wouldn't get them enough virtue signal points.

@michaelchan4946 exactly why I hate this stuff so much. So, it's assumed I'm poor, and an affirmative action applicant. And I honestly believe, if you aren't a poor minority, Harvard doesn't want you. You offer them no prestige. They want the stories. I didn't think anything of not getting into Harvard, because I was done with elite schools and wanted something more normal. Now though... It irritates me quite a bit.... Seeing the data... It makes literally no sense.... I'm a top 1-5% minority tester...(although I guess that's also in general too) That just should be an auto accept... It was at every other school... They have to factor in ability to pay and that just sets me off, that they're specifically looking for the feel good minority stories....

@SomePersonalUploads it's dumb, because people assume you are a diversity admission. It just screws up the college admission incentives. A school like Harvard isn't going to prioritize black students who come from any level of affluence. They will specifically want the "stories." so now, if you were gonna do the illusive generational wealth (doesn't really exist although generational class does). You're less prioritized. Harvard doesn't need your money. But the next best schools do, and they instantly will accept you for their race based quotas. Making this about race, as if some race needs to be artificially boosted doesn't make sense. Everyone says they're not racist.... So... Maybe.. It's not racism.... It's something else.... Quotas won't work and will only backfire as they get warped for other uses

@Kushagra.j /me when I see an Indian ceo, "time to invest". Lol, it's hilarious when they say white people run the companies, when we have the most diverse set of billionaires and ceos in the world.... Men women, all different races, countries, lol. Microsoft and Google, run by Indians. Tesla, south African. Nvidia, Asian, amd, Asian woman... The diversity is there....
