At first, I thought John was being edgy, back when it seemed to me like progressive views weren't mainstream. Now, basically, it's an echo chamber.

To be fair, humans normally accept what they hear as being true because biologically if we had accepted things being false we would have died(panther in the bushes argument). It wasn't until I saw channels like this that I took a step back. This is why YouTube is so huge and is only going to continue to grow because people can actually put out content in whatever form length necessary to make their arguments

I've noticed that Democrats keep utilizing gun statistics whenever talking about crime as if there are no other crimes that happen without a gun. Whenever they talk about crime they will only talk about gun crime and then also say that we need to get rid of guns and it's Republican stopping them

The only bail reform that should happen is if judges are setting bail too high or too low. Too high, they may not understand the economic conditions. You don't need a million dollar bail on a steel worker. But their home value as bail is decent. Judges should get a full picture of your finances before setting bail that's all that really has to happen

If you aren't allowed to pursue on foot or by a car and how did the criminals get arrested, that is a massive problem. I'm talking from the criminal standpoint because the criminals are still getting arrested which means they have to be beyond low iq

The only bail reform we need is having judges be able to see your full Financial picture so that bail can be set appropriately to make sure that you show up. If you have no finances or significant things to hold of value then sorry you get to sit in jail

I used to think John Oliver was saying things mainstream didn't want to hear, until I realized, all of his talking points aligned with the mainstream. He does a good job railing against att and now, discovery to make it look like he's saying things mainstream doesn't want you to hear, until you realize there is no talking point of his not held by progressive liberals.

He's freaking out over 5,000 bail that was set for a person with a previous conviction when that's perfectly reasonable. This idea that because you can't pay bail it's not fair is the same thing as saying that because everyone can't afford a Ferrari it's not fair. All bail is meant to do is force you to show up in court and if you have nothing of value to hold over you then sorry you have to sit in jail. Judges should have subjective ways of setting Bail so they should know if you can afford the bail and how much to set bail at to make sure that you show up. If bail is being set too high that doesn't mean we should eliminate it it means we need to make sure that judges are understanding people's economic conditions
