  3. The word gelato is just the Italian word for ice cream. In Spanish it's helado (silent h). Helado, gelato, ice cream, same thing. Why they call that stuff you describe gelato is probably just to make it sound more exotic. An example of that is the love preople have for latte . Latte just means milk in Italian (Spanish leche). Leche, latte, milk. All the same. But people think if things have a foreign name, it's somehow a much better exotic thing. Bull ! It's the same thing. Ive never had gelato. Why pay more for ice cream ? Now , what you describe as gelato should have its own name. And everybody should stop thinking that things are so much better because they have a foreign name. This reminds me of that musical god, Giusseppe Verde (Joe Green) !
