  1. Byd is no 1 here in Asean by a wide margin. Soon they will take over the market in Australia. Their rhd plant has justed started operations in Thailand. No stopping them despite all these disinformation and smearing.Elon Musk laughed at them some years back for making crappy cars. He's not laughing anymore now that they are on the verge of overtaking Tesla. He also has to rely on them for their blade batteries. He's a humbled man today.

  2. Chinese evs have been here in Asean for almost 2 years now. Byd is the best selling ev by a wide margin. Fire hazard? None that I know of so far. They are now as common as Toyota. But its a common occurrence here for gasoline vehicles. Combustion I mean.

No wonder US and EU are so worried about Chinese evs coming into their market. Biden had to rush to impose 100% tariff eventhough none are for sale there. Anything less than 100% is not enough protection agst Chinese junk evs.

  12. ​ @loragus_1683  Japan and Germany are using Chinese tech to build their evs. VW already invested in Chinese ev maker Xpeng and also in an ev research and development centre in Hefei. Toyota is collaborating with Byd for their BZ4 model. Lots more examples.

  15. Not true. Byd is the best selling ev here in Asean especially. They control 50% market share. Their plant has just started production to service the rhd market. They will take on Tesla in Australia for top spot.
