  2. Indians love Chinese smartphones which control 70% market share. Indians don't even like their own homemade phones which also assembled from imported Chinese parts. Even their close ally Russia is not able to buy much from India with all the rupees they are holding from oil sales. That's why they prefer payment in yuan instead. This boycott has been talked about for a very long time. Totally ineffective until India can produce and replace what they buy from China. That's may take decades
