@TrustInTheShepherd the obvious is that the EU seeks to become a federal regionalised superstate. A 5 year old could see it, but you, along with millions of others, are living in denial with your heads up your backsides.

The EU, taking our money and taking our sovereignty for the privilege. Who would vote for that?!
6
We have been misled for 43 years about the true desires and goals of this organisation... perhaps somebody hasn't done their homework.

@daliborbartos1396 So you think the current model, whereby those at the top of the EU and those who hold the power devolved to them by treaty after treaty hold all the cards is democratic? Do you?! This system is NOTHING like Canada or the US! In ANY way!
3
@daliborbartos1396 precisely, its the building of a federal state. Think it'll be democratic?.. think again!
3
Nobody takes you seriously.

@undogmatisch5873 "UK gas an oil resources are pretty limited" Not true. In 2015 DC visited the Shetland isles (wasn't reported in the mainstream media) on the discovery of a vast oil field under the north sea. "If Scotland decides to break up with Britain, most of what the UK own right now, as a union, would be gone" IF Scotland decides to break up with England.. at the moment that's unlikely and as it stands it is the UK, not Scotland, that has access to the north sea oil taps. More accuracy needed from you!
2
@daliborbartos1396 You just said it will be a dictatorship. You agreed! So which is it??! Yes in THEORY... and in THEORY you cannot do that in the EU!! You CANNOT remove them!! AT ALL! PERIOD! All of your idea is fine if it is DEMOCRATIC, but its NOT! I don't want to live under a dictatorship run by people i cannot elect nor remove... that's WHY'S NOT!!!
2
@daliborbartos1396 yes you ARE wrong!!! Do you really think, honestly, that the EU becoming a federal state will mean that the president (commission) will become elected?!!! Is that REALLY what you think?! You are seriously deluded. Take your head out of your arse. That's not the idea. The idea was to make those who pull the strings unaccountable to the people ever again. How naive.
2
@daliborbartos1396 its just a free trade area, isn't it?!
2
trident3b "thick"... what's thick is voting to stay in a supranational organisation which undermines democracy and is an incoming corporatist dictatorship. That's thick!
1
"NOW WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE VOTING FOR" An EU army. Austerity. Gloablisation in all its nasty forms. A continuation of loss of sovereignty. Where were YOU when successive governments were signing away national powers to the unelected in Brussels?? WHERE WERE YOU THEN CALLING FOR A REFERENDUM??!!!
1
T. Henderson hahaha! Scotland has been talking about independence for decades. When it comes to the crunch, they don’t go for it. But hey, you just said they won’t be independent after all, so what’s the problem? They’re not gonna be “independent” according to you! Just a small island... lol... yeah only the worlds 5th largest economy and the financial centre of the world. No leverage there lol. As I said, you’re deluded.
1
T. Henderson “Scotland and her oil”. I thought you just said the UK has no resources?! Make your mind up! By the way, those countries are “independent” by definition because they make their own trade policies, their own laws and don’t rely on an outsourcing that responsibility to someone somewhere else. The same cannot be said for those in the EU. You are deluded.
1
@daliborbartos1396 No you are wrong. The US system is much more democratic as is the Swiss system because you are electing the party AND the president. Which president do we vote for in the EU? NONE! That's not democracy!!! And it's not the same as Canada!!! If the the EU was truly democratic and accountable, me and you wouldn't be having this discussion, because there would be no question about it. But here we are, talking about it. It is not democratic. You are wrong.
1
T. Henderson what’s that got to do with anything? I’ve just stated a country in the world which doesn’t have vast resources. They’re independent. So obviously in the world of today it is possible to not have resources and be independent. What’s difficult to understand about that?
1
@emililiev1621 "STUPID IDIOTS" Stupid to vote to make their own laws? Riiiiight!
1
@daliborbartos1396 So you agree then, that a future federal Europe will not be democratic, but actually a dictatorship. You wont to live in a dictatorship, then? At least in theory we in the UK can elect and remove our representatives.
1
@daliborbartos1396 "many who pretend to understand our todays reality......" "Reality"... what is reality? Do you think we are in this position today and this "reality" just by accident? The world has been taken in this direction on purpose. The idea is to end sovereign nation states, to have them under one umbrella, the European Union. Same will happen in North America, it'll be called the North American Union. Same will happen in Asia and Africa, the "African Union" already exists. Once these "unions" have wiped out national self autonomy in the name of "common challenges" (such as "global warming"), they will be submerged under a World Government, which will also be anti-democratic in nature. The World Government will be at the top, dictating to the Unions, which will then be dictating to the "regions" (suggested homework; "Europe of regions") and thus dictating to the people. Is this the kind of model you want for the world? You fool.
1
T. Henderson "The UK however... small island. Not enough resources to be independent" Not enough resources? So little Singapore has enough resources to be independent, does it? The UK has been independent for a thousand years. Bit ignorant you?
1
@emililiev1621 I see the British people who voted to get back their national self determination, invented that pc you are using, that mobile phone that you use, that car that you drive, the aeroplane you use to go on holiday, the electric you use to light your home, almost every appliance in your kitchen, the television you watch. Real stupid huh? Suggest you leave the UK if you think we are that stupid.
1
@pekkavaisanen5512 clearly it hasn't worked otherwise we wouldn't be having this discussion lol.
1
@Harry Lagom least we leavers didn't vote for a federal europe like you remainers. Federalists!!
1
@lvoldum why are our laws made in Brussels then?!!
1
@Harry Lagom no that is PRECISELY why you haven't done your homework on the matter. You can't see the wood through the trees. Turkeys voting for Christmas.
1
@lvoldum "which actually has chosen not to implement EU law " Firstly, parliament doesn't have a choice because it is bound by the treaties that it ratified including the Lisbon treaty which saw huge amounts of sovereign powers passed to the unelected in Brussels. Parliament does not have a choice but to abide by the laws, they are automatically implemented throughout every member state including the UK once legislated in Brussels. They don't get rubber stamped. It is automatic. Parliament doesn't choose lol! This goes to show your ignorance in the matter. Secondly, if parliament wanted to have more oversight over EU law, they would be in parliament DISCUSSING and scrutinising every EU directive and regulation that comes out of Brussels for two thirds of the week. But they won't and they don't and they should be. Stick it in your pipe. Another remainer who hasn't done his homework!!
1
@prophetsnake Our nationhood was what was at stake. That would have also meant a vote to join the euro, had remain won. Just as well they didn't win.
1
@prophetsnake You do realise that most people in GB don't care much about NI? My nation was finished if it remained in the EU you FOOL.
1
@prophetsnake Then choke in silence! We're an international joke because we decided we want to make our own laws, our own decisions and govern our own country? The jokes on you!!
