 @tealshift2090 not even at the levels of Asia during the 40s to the 80s. Cambodia for example still has thousands of unexploded ordinance that kill and maim people there every year.

@daniellooney8878 depends on troop concentration. You seen cluster munitions at work? Zig zag as much as you want they are area dispersal weapons. Idk if you don't understand that regardless of trench shape half a mile square is covered in explosions. Just watch a few Russian videos to see them in action.

@johnjennings9043 that's not how they work. They usually land in trenches. If 80 + bomblets, slightly bigger than a grenade, explode across a quarter mile square... Your only cover is the bunker or being the luckiest ratnik alive. I'm ex psych corps, what was your role in the military?

@johnjennings9043 you do know what psych corps is? I was a registered nurse treating PTSD mostly. Nothing to do with field artillery unless you count barrel breaches and lost limbs. Civilian contractor. You dealt with someone who has 4 tours under their belt and a note from a psych stating cured of PTSD cause they attended a 3 week course. That's before they tried to stab everyone in sight including their co cause they drank a bottle of bourbon that night. My personal favourite the anti suicide wavers. Sign here please. IDK about you but I'm not proud of that chapter in my professional career.

@johnjennings9043 fascinating opinion. See I didn't volunteer for hospitaliers battalion because I don't like what phosphorus munitions can do to a body. You ever seen what that is like? Think napalm but even worse, and that's standard incoming. No thank you. But by all means please inform me about your role in the navy as a contractor.
