  1. It's a religious garb, just like any other. It's not humiliation. Islam, like Christianity, believes the female body entices men to sin so women are supposed to wear conservative clothing. For Muslims, it's the burqa. In Christianity, the rules have become less strict over time, but Nuns wear the clothes that a deemed most appropriate for women.
