Thom, I think it has been so very well hidden for so long because we WANTED to believe in America, and it appeared we were making progress addressing our most fundamental inequities - racial, social and economic. Tiny, but real steps. Then Reagan and the destruction of the unions. (One of your shows placed this beginning even further back) And the end of Viet Nam was the end of Public Education and the teaching of critical thinking skills, and the beginning of Fascist Oligarchy Xenophobic Network Extremist White Supremacists (Abbreviated) - which, unlike the REAL world, was/is carefully scripted so EVERY talking head speaks wit the same voice and the same set of false facts. And follows the McLuhan/Goebbels principle (odd word to describe the utter LACK of principle...) Reality doesn't stand a chance.

  2. Thing is, they are SO close to winning it all, they no longer CARE that we know, it's like the grammar-school bullies who loved to taunt you. MY tried, tested response to a bully - kick him IN THE BALLS! IF he just gets mad, while he's down, stomp his nuts again, or if need be, his throat. Don't QUITE kill him, just let him know there are NO rules, and you both know it. He WILL look for easier prey. <BTW, first make sure he's not wearing a CUP...>
