  1. My nieces and nephews are taught wokeism in public school and they laugh about it, as do most of their friends. Sadly, however, they know they're getting a subpar education, but they're smart enough to look ahead. I guess that's more white privilege?

But anecdotally the people I talk to, Democrat or Republican, think woke is a racist joke and recognize its absurdity. The only person I know who's into it is my dad, who's been retired 30 years and spends 80% of his life watching news. The rest of us still have to live in the real world.

  23. I agree with assessments here. I noticed in the 1980s the shift to alarmism, at the time I blamed it on talk shows like Oprah. I'm gay and I thought there was so much to celebrate, to be grateful for. But I was told I was self-hating and right wing. I still remember advocating for gay marriage during a gay youth meeting in 1985 when the entire group turned on me and accused me of trying to act straight. I learned early that activism is absurd. Humans naturally evolve and progress.

  26. I noticed the cultural Marxism back in 1992 after I graduated college. My office in DC was loaded with self-avowed socialists, anti-Americans, and Europhiles. I always considered myself liberal but the cultural snobbism was repulsive to me. It was pure bigotry as far as I considered. PC ran rampant as a result, and now it's everywhere.

  27.  @philippkoenigAUS  the poorest counties in the US are actually overwhelmingly white (Appalachia etc), and although they have more than their share of drugs and dysfunction, there's almost zero homicides in those communities. Statistically if your poor community were to become at least 10% black, equally as poor as the whites, your town will require a full-time homicide squad.

  38. The black female mayor of Charlottesville, VA ordered every statue taken down, even those commemorating Native Americans. They did this under the cloak of darkness. A mob of mostly white trust funders cheered on each destruction. I'm gay and liberal and still can't imagine what it's like to be insude these people's heads. Can't they see we won 30 years ago?
