@Pavin Thadathil good that rahul is doing more in wayanad than he did in amethi. Otherwise he would lose another excuse to be under the political limelight

@VivekKumar-rb7zk Godse wanted to be hanged instead of pardoned. He knew the murder he committed was a crime, and was not afraid of punishment. He just wanted gandhian hypocrisy of non violence to die with his hanging. Because it was not satyagraha that scared the british, but Indian National Army. Nehru gandhi parivar just kept the ghost of ghandian hypocrisy alive to stay on power, the same as what rahul is doing here. There is a reason why Dr. BR Ambedkar refused to call mk gandhi a mahatma. Read about history and you will understand. Best example is to read what Ambedkar said about gandhi praising the "brave moplahs" during the khilafat movement. Try googling moplah rebellion and you will understand why the father of the constitution disliked the father of the nation.

@rodgerbloor6680 wayanad has vconsistently voted for congress in Parliament elections, it was chosen as a safe seat for rahul. Despite continuously voting for congress, wayanad is not that devoloped, compared to other areas, partially due to geography, but more due to lack of political incentive. If rahul underperforms, cpim will field a weak candidate, and bjp wont get any votes. Rahul will continue winning, dont worry about that. After all this is kerala, where the mark of progressive politics is in suppressing hindutva and capitalism instead of focusing on economic and cultural growth

@rodgerbloor6680 why cant hindutva be a cultural movement? RSS has been a cultural organisation as well for decades, with savarkar being an ardent advocate for cultural and religious reformation- while savarkar wanted to promote inter caste dining to combat caste system gandhi still beleived the varna system to be the best way to organise society. The indian state has to be secular, the various wings of the govt have to be secular. No one said that indian society has to be secular and culture cannot mix with religion, that is the choice of the individual and society. Politicians capitalising on that choice range from the bjp to mk stalin holding vel and pinarayi vijayan promoting yoga (after cpim leader sitaram yechury mocked yoga as being inspired by the movements of dogs, google it up). Dont tell me to isolate myself from my religion, culture , history and civilisation for the postcolonial construct that is the republic od India. The constitution is not a holy book above change or criticism. It was enacted by the people of india, and the people will decide how india progresses.
