I live in kerala dear, and have always wondered why they would do it... Even as recent as a few years back sitaram yechury said that the chinese model of economic growth was proof that communism works, when in reality the chinese model is giving free reign to capitalists to exploit the chinese working class....

i dont need western validation but the communists of india certainly need strong foreign leaders for propaganda... they also need a stupid voter base who believes that stalin was a good person and the USSR collapsed due to american intervention and imperialism.

@firetree2007 you also forgot that both US and India too have the ability to strike Beijing with their own missiles. Strike capabilities are usually strategic posturing to dissuade large scale invasion, but hey if you nuke us then we nuke you. Then we can all see together if there is a god or not, when the nuclear armageddon wipes humanity off the earth.. so tone down on the muscle flexing, china wont win over everyone else simply because of advanced strike capabilities- if china is willing to destroy the world, china ought to prepare for the same treatment to itself...

Ashley D i think bjp will get more votes in the upcoming 2021 elections. Bjp may even become the main opposition if the NIA is able to fully expose the gold scam case. Its unlikely that the bjp will win in 2021 but may be possible in 2026, since that would require the complete political decay of the left. The left still has support in kerala, but things are changing....

No country can compete with china in the next 5 years other than the US, since US still has the most advanced military and the biggest economy with the best ongoing research i the world. China will catch up to US soon, but India is the best chance for the US to ensure containing China without a war within the decade...

@firetree2007 think deeper, all it took was 3 aircraft carriers for china to quiet down in south china sea. US continues to have superiority of military equipment and intelligence India doesn't need US aid for every confrontation with china, if china wants war, it can have war. But china knows that even if it beats india, the war means the end of the one china policy and all ambitions to superpowerdom. China's status as the worlds factory is declining rapidly, and consumers are preferring not to feed the dragon The way i see it, china had a chance at becoming a real economic and superpower, but basically lost it simply due to xi's mismanagement and disregard for the rest of the world...

If china wanted a clear settlement of the border issue through bilateral cooperation and compromise, then china would have cooperated in settling the issue peacefully, and demarcation of the border after proper negotiation. Instead china continuously increases its territorial claims in and around its neighbourhood without any justifiable proof or historical evidence. Recent examples of this are china's claim to galwan valley which was discovered by gulam rasool galwan, and sakteng wildlife sanctuary in bhutan. Both were never claimed by PRC in the past 70 years of history, and have now been claimed without a shred of evidence. This is the true nature of PRC and will be as long as the CPC under Xi jinping rules over china...

@brevitygreaves2321 democracy exists in the top level, but the administration is very much an autocracy in the grassroots level. That doesnt mean that development is impossible, but disobedience tends to be punished with an iron hand. Take the example of how the one child policy was implemented in china. Try watching the documentary 'one child nation' on the same subject. You'll get to know how china works more from it than any journalist or politician can ever make you understand....

Nobody wants to invade china but china wants to illegally occupy territories around itself. Ashley D radicalism will cause violence, but it just sets the stage/opportunity for bjp to.grow its influence. There is no need to be scared of radical islam as indians. Radical islam is a medieval idea and deserves our anger and fury rather than fear in our minds... dont worry, with the current administration and mindset of indians all across india, radical islam will be dealt with...
