  1. History has already been too kind to nehru - that is why you have a nehru road in nearly every major city and a JNU as one of the premier institutions of educations. Discussing nehru without mentioning the 1962 war with china, nehrus handling of the first indo pak war, nehruvian socialism that was later maliciously called the hindu rate of economic growth , the first amendment ti the Indian constitution steamrolled without the constituemt assembly debates well before the first parliment was elected, etc. is being too kind to nehru. nehru is not beyond criticism or analysis , and the popular narrative on nehru suggests history will be much less kinder than what was made out of the half compenent first pm of India.
