  4.  @joebloggs3551  Sorry Simon but that controlling borders was always a load of bollox, another soundbite to get everyone of a certain mindset wound up. We always had control of our borders but both the tories and Labour never applied the rules correctly. Not sure about you but whenever I travel abroad I always get asked to see my passport. Pre brexit we had more rights to send people back than now, we also had border force in France but of course they were shipped out after the transition period. Probably one reason why France are now waving them thru in droves. I don't feel anymore sovereign, in fact if you're Irish or have dual nationality/settled status you now have more rights than if you are English! I've never voted tory, the main reason is that my MP is like most of them in that he consistently votes against money being paid out for the people that actually need it but is happy to vote for wealthy tax dodgers. Funny when some my friends spout the socialist bollox but were happy to sit at home for best part of the year on furlough money. Ironic no? I want the best for the uk but Brexit has damaged the uk beyond repair. You can't say you are being a patriot then vote for people and family companies to lose their jobs and businesses. Take subsidies away from poorer areas and complain about the cost of being in the EU then look at how much the last 6 years has cost to leave. The only people to gain are the wealthy and if you take a good look most of them are either decendants of immigrants or immigrants themselves. Then you have people like lawson, lilley etc all telling you to vote Brexit as they apply for French residency or Mogg, Dyson and the gang all moving their companies outside of the UK. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work it out Simon.

  23.  @jumblestiltskin1365  Well Jumble there you go. In the case of the little englanders running around now you're classed as a foreigner both before Brexit and after. You are living proof that deciding on someone's decent because they have earnt that respect regardless of where they come from or the colour of their skin they should be treated accordingly. You've benefited from a decent immigration policy with the added bonus of being able to still move around Europe freely unlike a born and bred Englishman. All my Irish mates all voted Brexit then went straight out and applied for their Irish passport despite only one of them only ever stepping foot in the gaff once. Unfortunately you mentioned that the Windrush generation have been given special treatment, quite the opposite in fact. Some coming over in the late 40s and early 50s working and contributing for years to the UK and then not so long ago getting a knock on the door at 5am telling them their paperwork never existed and then rounded up like a criminal and put on a plane back to a country where some of them have never even visited or were there when they were 3 years old. Some people think they shouldn't be allowed here. I had one conversation with a muppet at work over this and when i mentioned that they have a legal right to be here he went down the step on a boat route you did earlier. Hadn't even heard of the British nationality act. Just had an opinion which as usual was bollox. I say be careful what you wish for - have a butchers at the new borders bill and clause 9 which is Patels new baby . Another hypocrite that wouldn't have been here under the current rules. Let's hope you don't ever get a knock on the door my friend, with this nasty bunch of bstards anythings possible. 👍
