  4. ⁠ @debasismohanty1952 Depends on who they are and where they come from. All my wife’s family were from the Caribbean and all came here and worked hard in either the NHS, education or law. Let’s not forget that you won’t find lots of Brits out in the fields picking fruit n veg or cleaning trains at night. The hospitality sector would collapse if not for immigrants & they make up 22% of the NHS as well.

  21.  @Alan-75 This current influx is all to do with Brexit as when Blair and Labour were in power we still had full use of the Dublin agreement. I Think if you bother to check before and after Brexit the problem has got far worse and the figures prove it and that’s because we now have no legal means in returning anyone back to any safe country. You can be like the other poster and say it’s because of Labour but that’s simply not true. Time to take ownership of your mistake.

The only way asylum seekers will get the right to vote is that if they have been granted citizenship. The main thing that the news channel is deliberately missing out on is that these people coming here are only doing so because they now know we have a legal obligation to process them, the safe country rule that the presenter keeps waffling about no longer applies as we left the EU. If only we’d had stayed in then they could have all been returned under Dublin lll. Essentially it’s the fault of Brexiteers that voted to make us a third countryđŸ€·đŸŒâ€â™‚ïž

If you are a racist then you’d say that every country would only have their own indigenous population but considering every country over the years is made up of people from all over that would be a mute point to make. You would also have the problem of colonisation of other countries. For the UK as an example you can’t take over 22% of the globe then moan when people want to come back to the motherland can you? If we didn’t have any immigration in this country then the NHS would have collapsed years ago. Those nice people off The Windrush kicked off a massive helping hand to our NHS.
