  3.  @jablot5054 Not really. The pay deal dates all the way back to 2008. Also Scottish healthcare staff don’t incur a nigh on 100k debt for training as it’s free up there. Why not give the nurses the same payrise that MPs have just been awarded by their “independent” body? That would sort them out some way but we are dealing with a party that has consistently taken away any bursaries and votes against given the NHS staff a decent pay increase in line with inflation. Your comment proves that the gaslighting is working. 👏🏻

If someone wants to earn what they do then train and become one, not moan about them thinking they are highly paid. I know people that work in banks that started on 42k plus bonuses that take their money to 6 figures . No one seems to moan at them though.

Sorry to disappoint you but that was common knowledge that the Tories mentioned both of those figures on numerous occasions. As for the 48,000 that went back home that again is common knowledge, one reason the UK has nigh on 140,000 vacancies within the NHS currently. One reason there’s 6.8 million on the waiting list ( me being one of them ) but I suppose that’s made up figures as well because it wasn’t on Facebook…

  20. It’s being deliberately run into the ground to make it fully private. Tice and the Reform lot know this and that’s why they are offering private healthcare vouchers as part of their manifesto. It’s a shame that most people telling everyone to vote for them haven’t sussed it. They are too gaslit.

  21. ⁠​⁠ @robertadams1054 Not sure what you are implying but nurses & Drs have to train. Of course they now pay for it themselves thanks to the very kind and generous 10 jobs George Osbourne who scrapped their bursaries which is partly the reason why we have 140,000 vacancies within the NHS.

  23.  @robertadams1054 Just for the record despite being a Labour voter all my life I never voted Labour when Blair was in charge as he was essentially a tory. Couldn’t stand him then or now but do you think any PM would have been able to turn down our closest allies during the gulf war? If you do then you are deluded. I’ve got more of an issue with the milk snatcher sending nearly 300 of our forces to their death over an island 8000 miles away to save face, nothing more.

  25.  @terencemullins1422 Not really when you consider thanks to Brexit plonkers making us a third country we now have record numbers of people seeking asylum. They all need processing as despite what the wallys think none of them are illegal until processed accordingly. A 12 month backlog with a 75% success rate of staying. If only we had an agreement that allowed us to send anyone back to the first safe country if they didn’t have a valid reason or anyone else that couldn’t prove they were here and able to support themselves within 3 months. 🤔 If only…

If you added up all the money wasted by the government on dodgy deals, payouts for mates etc etc they could all be paid fairly and they should all be given free tuition like up in Scotland. No wonder we can’t retain them and no wonder there’s 140,000 vacancies across the NHS.
