Like it or not they are applying for asylum. There’s no legal route to do this. The fact they’ve come here to apply for asylum isn’t illegal unless they’ve been processed accordingly.

You ain’t gonna greet £25 an hour to pick fruit or clean toilets. Ever.

Depends what work they do. Firstly you ain’t going to get £25 an hour to pick fruit n veg etc. Most of the cleaners on the railway/buses are immigrants, if those trains or buses aren’t cleaned they won’t enter service so they are benefitting anyone that uses a train or bus to get to work in the morning. Same goes for care home workers, waiting staff etc etc. People droning on about foreigners driving down wages should maybe do one of those jobs I mentioned to see how long they’d last….

@letsdoitnow121 As I’ve previously mentioned there is no legal way to come here but once here they can then apply for asylum. As soon as they step foot on British soul they are no longer illegal unless they are processed accordingly. 75% of applications are accepted so you can call them illegal as much as you want but they aren’t. There is a 12 month backlog, the Rwanda money wasted would have been better served in employing more border staff to process them quicker. Of course if we had stayed in the EU we could have sent them straight back to the last safe country they came in from or if an economic migrant they would have to prove they can sustain themselves in 3 months or be sent back. Thanks to Brexit voters, they’ve made the UK a third country which is why the problem is worse as the people coming across know this and have a better chance of staying. Most Brexit voters are easily gaslit, you’ve only got to look thru the comments on here. They simply won’t accept they got it wrong.

RedHeadNINTY9T9 The UK will always need migrants to work in areas that have cheap labour for minimum pay. You won’t ever get £25 an hour to pick fruit n veg or serve people in coffee bars despite the people constantly droning on about foreigners driving down wages. The first year after Covid all the pubs and restaurants in the lakes were closing at 8pm due to lack of staff. English people won’t do those jobs ( students and young people being the exception ) Without a foreign workforce this country would shut down.

@letsdoitnow121 As I’ve told you twice there’s no legal route but once they are here they can apply for asylum. It doesn’t matter what I think that’s just the way it is. Of course when we were in the EU we could send people straight back to the last safe country they entered from but now because of Brexit we can’t. So it was all nonsense to wind up people for the benefit of the wealthy. Nothing more. There is no such thing as an illegal person that’s seeking asylum. Under international law any person has the right to apply for asylum in a country that has signed the 1951 refugee convention and is allowed to remain until authorities have assessed their claim. Often you get people asking why muslim countries don’t take these people in, the simple answer is that if you check how many of those countries signed into the convention you will only find that a few countries have hence why places like Qatar and Saudi don’t want to know. India and Pakistan are the same hence why they make their way to countries like the UK. Hopefully this now makes some sort of sense to you.

@letsdoitnow121 I have to keep repeating as it’s just not sinking in is it? How many asylum seekers have been placed under immediate arrest on entering the UK considering it is “illegal”? Why are you waffling about a shop and comparing it to someone who is seeking asylum? No one is deemed “ illegal” until processed accordingly. End of I know it’s triggering you but as you are obviously a Brexit supporter you have to take the blame for the current situation. You and your fellow patriots have made the UK a complete laughing stock and every normal person poorer over your obsession with “ controlling our borders” bollox. Maybe the answer lies with yourself as you seem to be the know all . Maybe you could speak with the PM and give him your insight, after all fully qualified Cambridge educated Barristers like Braverman have not been able to send anyone to anywhere so maybe the answer to all our woes lays with a nameless you tuber…..😂

@letsdoitnow121 I also think you’ve picked the title out of Article 31 and twisted it to suit your mindset. Perhaps read it in the correct context my pedigree chum.
1
@letsdoitnow121 No understanding of the law? Did YOU bother to read Article 31.1? I think you are getting confused as it’s a rule that’s laid out for people arriving in a country that’s signed to the convention but it looks like you’ve taken the title and interpreted it the wrong way. It clearly states that as long as the person entering presents themselves without delay and shows good cause for their presence or illegal entry then that country shall not impose penalty. Read article 32.1 and see the only way they can be expelled - it’s all there in black and white but you’ve probably soaked up so much media bollox you can’t interpret the rules. A common leaning amongst Brexit voters that actually thought that immigration was going to be stopped after leaving Europe. 😂

@letsdoitnow121 Did you complain to You tube and get my other comment taken down? Aahhh . Here’s me thinking it was us remoaners that were snowflakes….

@letsdoitnow121 More snowflakery. Did you read article 31.1 & 32 yet? Have you worked it out? I know it’s hard for you patriots but it’s all there for you. In the last 7 days 15 boats have arrived into the UK carrying 624 immigrants. Have a guess how many “ illegals “ were arrested? Answers on a postcard to Zero people @ Zero st, Zero town - 000 000

@letsdoitnow121 As for intelligence - I’m not the one that put my X in the wrong box or has believed the tory rhetoric. I’m just passing the info on as it seems to have bypassed the cult members.

@stemclaren Yes there’s no legal route to the UK I’m in agreement. What I tried to get through to the last head in the sand merchant was once they step foot on British soil and present themselves as asylum seekers then we are legally obliged to treat them that way. It seems that it just doesn’t sink in with some people who have obviously heard some noodle on the news talk about “ illegals” and treat it as gospel.
1
@hunsey He’s read the title of one part of the convention and misinterpreted it to his way of thinking. Article 31.1 lays down the process for those that come here and as you quite rightly say aren’t illegal until they have been processed accordingly. All it proves is the media gaslighting is working and I’d liken it to how the Leave campaign got Brexit over the line.
1
@stemclaren No it’s you people that don’t get it. We all know that there’s no official or legal routes to get here. I’ve already said that I agree with that and I’m fully aware of what you and all the others are saying. The point is they are getting here and they are coming here in record numbers and that is all down to the fact that the people that voted for Brexit and to make the UK a third country is at fault no one else. Most of you were so entrenched in the immigration bullshite that you never bothered to read the rules. Same went for the Cornish fishermen that despite selling 90% of their catch to countries in the EU they actually believed the toffs telling them they would be better off! Then they spent years moaning about losing money. Same goes for the UKs farmers etc etc. My issues are with you people that still keep moaning about “ illegals” You won, now accept what you voted for and get on with it, it’s only going to get worse.👏🏻

Oh dear. More snowflakes getting rid of comments.😂

@stemclaren Going on about insults when I’ve made none yet joking about people drowning in the channel on another thread. You are a muppet - ( that’s an insult by the way - now toddle off to complain to YT like the other sausage did )

@Edleweiss Brexit party mk2 and look how well that went..

Welcome to the wonderful world of the tories. Sell everything off to foreign companies then employ our own to bolt bits together for the shareholders.
1
@ianhunter2374 You never got free food etc because you wasn’t an asylum seeker. They aren’t allowed to work whilst waiting to be processed so have to be given everything. Far better to get them straight to work ( closely monitored ) then sent back if they are processed as illegal.
1
@learningguitarwithkev7945 Think what Neil is pointing at is that when we were in the EU we had more rights to send immigrants back than we do now which is true. Brexit voters have made the UK not only poorer but incapable of protecting its borders from asylum seekers with no paperwork. They are the total opposite of being patriotic.
1
@BBCFakeNews-fe2wc The tories have been in charge for the last 14 years. With regards to your OP the simple answer to both is Brexit.
