@uingaeoc3905 Why should pensioners get an inflation busting payrise and not those that get out of bed at 3am to go and say drive a train, work in a hospital, fire/plod station or dead on their feet teachers??

Got to keep the mortgage free pensioners happy, after all most of them vote blue. Throw in a few boat comments and you will keep their vote next year.

@jjefferyworboys8138 I retired at 51. My point is that pensioners are either too silly or too bigoted to see the wood for the trees.

@ancietman Hopefully you aren’t like my neighbours who think certain people are either over paid or not patriotic despite going to work and paying taxes unlike themselves who were self employed and did their best in paying as little as possible whilst bemoaning anyone else going out on strike to get a fair pay rise. Imagine if the government had given nurses, firefighters, police officers, train drivers etc an 8.5% pay rise. The countries pensioners would be going mental.
