  5.  @nigden1 Firstly,You need to read article 98 of the UN convention of the sea. Secondly, no one is illegal or bogus and those terms are just rhetoric from the likes of Patel onwards, probably where you heard the things about maritime law. Where people seem to still get confused is that there are no official legal routes to come here and apply for asylum, you have to be standing on UK soil (or sand!) to do this. Maybe where the term “illegal immigrants” has come from. No one is deemed illegal until they have been processed that way. An asylum seeker can cross as many safe countries they want so you are wrong in saying the French are responsible. We can no longer send anyone back to the first safe country they entered into as we are no longer in the EU and the Dublin agreement lll no longer applies to us. Ireland could use that still and I’m not sure why they aren’t doing so, unfortunately both Labour & Cons didn’t apply these rules properly but I think If you look at the official figures Labour actually sent more back than the Tories did. I’d put money on it if the government were allowed to use the Dublin treaty they would as that would be a lot better way of giving Rwanda millions for nothing. Why not send any asylum seeker straight to the Falkands? I’m sure once word got out that the weathers even worse than here they might slow down in coming? So essentially as I’ve told all my leaver builder mates moaning, they put the X in the wrong box and it’s their fault.

  17.  @nigden1 Tell me - if the recent immigration act criminalised it how many people seeking asylum have been arrested on entering the UK by boat (small or large) train, bus, lorry, coach or car? The human rights act would supersede any immigration law especially as we are signatories of the 1951 refugee convention and under article 31 ( if memory is correct ) states that anyone claiming asylum has to be processed and treated fairly. If I remember Braverman and a few of her friends tried to get everything sorted but even though they are qualified in various areas of law they don’t possess any common sense thus threw lots of tax payers money at sending people to Rwanda and no one ( despite your thoughts ) has been arrested. I was hoping that I’d found someone who was like me and a bit flexible in the approach to the problems we face today but your comment about the UK doing just great and the EU failing apart has to be the funniest thing I’ve heard today so thanks for that one. As for my mates 2 out of 7 who are in the building trade are doing ok although the rest are packing it up with one losing so much work because of the price of materials he’s £25k in debt as he’s got a yard full of materials but no customers as they can’t afford the increase in the costs these days. We are forecast to be the second lowest performing economy this year under zee Germans who still have all their manufacturing in place and lots of people still waiting for their motors over here. Germany also own most of their utilities. My son lives in Berlin and says it’s much better than here in London. Your segment about paying 2 governments didn’t bother me as the £19 a month it cost me was well worth it. Those poor farmers in Wales now looking down the barrel as they’ve lost all their subsidies. Oh well, never mind. 😂
