So. The UK is using the dispute mechanism that we signed with the EU. Blimey. Here's me thinking we'd left....
23
With 75% of british fish ( +95% of lobsters ) going over to europe guess what happens when they force a ban in buying anything from any UK fishing that actually survives the next few years. Very patriotic in closing down family businesses. š
7
Ā @FimbulWinter-f6cĀ 75% of UK fish goes to the EU. 90% of lobsters going the same way.
6
Ā @No-timeforimbecilesĀ A similar thing happened to me on Monday. I cancelled my gym membership then went back to use the sauna yesterday and they blocked my card. BASTARDS!
5
Yes. It's all the EUs fault again....
4
Ā @lazrseagull54Ā And if you do buy a passport now it will be made in Poland. How's that for patriotism!
4
Ā @lazrseagull54Ā Turning our country into an isolated bubble is exactly what the people that voted leave have done Lazorr. Now everything is the EUs fault.
4
Ā @jimbop4499Ā I was being sarcastic Jimbop. Get back to your X box and Call of Duty my little Stone Island patriot.
4
Ā @kevt3318Ā They will wave them thru. No one there now to stop them. At least we have Farage standing on the beach protecting our borders....
3
This is what the wealthy want. They've spent a decade winding up the working classes with xenophobic dribble and it's worked.
3
No UK border force in French ports anymore Harry. That's what we voted for. š
3
Ā @Bennett2142Ā Yep. With 75% of fishy experts exports going thru the EU I think the little Inglanders best start actually buying some to take up the soon to be surplus. Maybe Spoons are going to do a deal - Turbot & Triple cooked chips with a bottle of bin end Chardonnay all for Ā£3.75
3
Ā @cotton9087Ā We were never ruled by Brussels. Just part of a club that we paid into and received benefits from. Now look at the state of the UK.
2
Just see the locals in Barnsley sitting around eating lobster and oysters for lunch.
2
Ā @robwalmsley8235Ā of course not but they were our biggest and closest trading partner. For lobster fishermen over 90% of their catch goes to the EU. Don't worry though, the sheep deal has been sorted with NZ. Next week it's exporting sand to Saudi Arabia..

Ā @danellis-jones1591Ā Amazing how many working class numpties have been seduced by people like RM and his kind. His father predicted all this in his books. Unfortunately peoples true feelings have been bottled up since the late 70s and now have been given free reign thanks to Brexit etc. I can't believe what I've heard people old enough to know better say in the street. You are lucky you are out of it. I'm hoping to get out in 2 years time. Can't come quick enough.

Ā @cecil123Ā The most useless councillors are normally tory. Take Northamptonshire Council for starters...
1
We can't. Like most things in this idiotic country - it's owned by a foreign company. The same company that runs most of the freight trains that move our goods too.
1
Ā @cecil123Ā Yes Cecil. Let's just close all UK fishing down tomorrow - say for the next 5 years. While we are at it stop buying British meat in favour of steriod infused cheap goodies from the other side of the world. Give the farmers a break for 5 years. Put more people on the rock n roll š And here was me thinking Brexit supporters were patriots!
1
Ā @cecil123Ā Out of thin air Cecil. Let's have Rees Moggs take on it then - he mentioned that it could take 50 years to fully recover so 5 is being optimistic. That's the trouble with all this Brexity stuff - it was all based on opinions and bullshite. Only the deluded believed it.
1
Ā @oldcremehelian3708Ā Maybe we could pay them in Sausages and mussels.
1
Ā @oldcremehelian3708Ā What a load of molluscs - my sausages are 93% meat.
1
Ā @robwalmsley8235Ā Trouble with your reasoning Rob is that even after 26 the EU is our biggest customer. How many family businesses are you prepared to throw to the wall to try and prove a point which after all is what the UK voted for.
1
Maybe fishing companies down in the peoples democratic Republic of Cornwall to start with.
1
Brexit control for you Morgan.
1
Ā @peter7660Ā That sounds painful.
1
Ā @cecil123Ā Plenty of fish to go around. Our future generations probably won't be able to afford fish the way things are moving. Give it 5 years and you will be paying 5k a year just to pay the council tax.
1
Ā @jjtighe8628Ā Don't worry JJ. We will fight them on the beaches...š“š“š“
1
Ā @cecil123Ā Who were they going to use to extort people ? Not the EU army by any chanceš
1
Ā @cecil123Ā Such as? Please elaborate.
