Unfortunately thanks to the silly people voting to make the UK a third country none of those crossings are illegal as the UK is now obligated to process each and everyone hence a 6 month backlog and a further burden to the taxpayer. Those people can cross as many safe countries they like providing they don’t have any other family members already registered in another country as the original rules no longer apply. Essentially voting for Brexit has made it worse, but the wealthy don’t care as they’ve made a fortune for their off shore investments. 👏🏻

  28. Your comment shows how a lot of the UK public were fooled. No one’s illegal until they have been processed accordingly. They can travel though as many safe countries and claim asylum anywhere they like because of people voting to leave the EU and making the UK a third country. All this has been discussed in the news countless times and even a so called qualified barrister who’s the Home Secretary got it completely wrong, so as far as you are concerned it means absolutely fk all.

Lincolnshire is a hard Brexit area, the people that are coming ( like it or not ) aren’t illegal until they have been processed accordingly. You mentioned that they should all be sent back to France, we could have done that when we were IN the EU but thanks to your vote we can’t anymore as we are now a third country and we have to process them even if they’ve traveled through ten safe countries. I would have expected someone who works for an engineering company to realise this, unfortunately your response shows how well the gaslighting has worked on people.
