When we were in the EU we had more rights to send people back and had our border force over in France. Did you actually think that the French wouldn't turn a blind eye once we left the EU ? Controlled borders we always had , it's just the correct procedures were never applied properly. That nonsense was brought into play to wind up the gullible.

@nicholasmorrill4711 How would you force France to take them back Nicholas? As per my other comment, we aren't in the EU anymore. The Dublin agreement no longer applies.

@SagaciousFrank We are too far down the road. The damage has been done now. All I see is the people who voted the most corrupt government in history in with an 80 seat majority complaining that they didn't really get what they voted for and that if Labour or Libs were in then it would be much worse. Its like a broken record. This country is full of sheep like people - once the tories got everyone to clap every week for the very same people that they refuse to give a decent pay rise to then they realised they can get the UK public to do anything. Work the longest hours, for the longest age and be rewarded the lowest pension in Europe. Enjoy.

@SagaciousFrank As I previously mentioned - the labour would be worse is a broken record. I prefer to look at what my local mp votes for and you will always get the tory mp voting against anything that provides help for the people that need it in favour of the 1% In terms of the lockdown if the tories had done it quicker and more stringently then in my view we would not have been farting about for so long. Remember Hancock saying at the beginning that it wasn't really going to affect us then on the first day of the transition period allowed a plane carrying 89 passengers to land from Wuhan! It's also funny that the amount of tory supporters that hate any socialist ideal yet didn't seem to mind getting money to sit at home on the Stella for best part of the year whilst the rest of us pay for it. When it suits, people seem to forget their beliefs as long as they are getting sorted.
