@petergordon4525 But average house prices ( let’s say in the 80s ) were £29,000 and the average wage was 14k. Now look at the average house prices today and what the average wage is. The real problem is that despite People ( boomers ) being given huge discounts to buy their council homes and the majority of mortgage free pensioners sitting pretty whilst voting for the Tories and Brexit adding mega costs to everyone elses bills they are now moaning over £300 - just like my neighbour who has 4 holidays a year and will be in the far east for 6 weeks over Christmas. My tiny violin needs restringing due to the over use.

@peterhelon3815 No one is supporting train drivers. The ticket prices go up every year anyway even though they didn’t had a pay rise on most lines for nearly 5 years. London Underground drivers are still fighting.

@sgtleehead No, 14 years of people voting for the Tories to rinse normal people dry and a Brexit now costing us 100 billion a year are the people you need to blame for losing something that should have never been paid in the first place. Do what I did even my mum was alive and leave the heating on and pay for it yourself and stop moaning.

@truefact844 Maybe youngsters are pssed off with the boomers as they were the ones that bought up all the council stock with huge RTB discounts hence why none of my kids can get a council place. Apparently it’s nothing to do with that but some bloke called Abdul coming here.

@petergordon4525 Most pensioners voted Tory over the years, Brexit voters too. Time to own the fact that all these people are coming here because we now have no rights to send them back to any safe country. Time to own the fact that food prices are thru the roof because of all the extra costs involved. Try and get any form of benefit nowadays - nigh on impossible. If the boomers hadn’t purchased all the council stock at massive discounts the rents today would have been a lot cheaper. My neighbours are all mortgage free pensioners and have numerous holidays and drive nice new cars with private plates. None of them need WFA and all of them are to blame for todays current costs yet don’t have a massive mortgage to pay.

@susanrichards5849 John’s correct - figures are up 19% over the whole of last year in just 5 months. Labour also sent back more than the Tories when they were last in power.

@RGSMANIA 14 years of Tories giving money to their friends worked well didn’t it?😂
