@oliverclements5011 What is a 'Heir Applicant', and' how do you think that John's actions at Runnymede are even slightly relevant to the Coronation? Charles and his 'people' have decided on the form the impending ceremony will take, not the government, and seeking to appeal to those who dislike, or even despise, the idea of a constitutional monarchy demonstrates precisely how foolish, and indeed spineless, he really is. Do you consider the fact that Starkey is gay relevant to anything, by the way?

Your heading is unnecessarily long. 'The King is FOOLISH' would have been quite sufficent, as well as being obviously self-evident.

@oliverclements5011 Small point. Henry VII did not create the CofE., an there is no such thing as an 'Heir Applicant.' Still, at least it appears that you acknowledge that you reference to Magna Carta was irrelevant. When has Starkey ever voiced his support for an absolute monarchy.and if his gayness is irrelevant, why refer to it? I do however, admire your confident assertion that Starkey does not understand History. I presume you haven't read any of his books on, for example, the Tudors?

@oliverclements5011 Since when was appealing to the masses a requirement for an academic historian? My old professor, M. R. D. Foot, probably didn't appeal to the masses either, but that didn't stop him being an historian of the First Rank.
