A pity that Dear Rachel failed to discuss the ramifications of her budget with Martin Lewis on Thursday evening, as had being expected. She was, apparently, 'busy.' In view of Mr. Lewis's analysis of it, however, perhaps it was just as well, as she may not have escaped alive from the room.

@pygmalion1963 There is no record of her working for any 'American Corporation.' She worked in the Bank of England, and then in the Retail Arm of HBOS. She has no experience of the way in which the Private Sector actually functions and, seemingly, even less interest in it. By the way, academic qualifications are nice to have, but are of limited relevance without actually, practical, hands on, knowledge. Unfortunately, this inconvenient fact seems to apply to most politicians these days.
