  1. In the 80's I had "Post-viral Depression" and it was just like this, weakness exhaustion, feel a bit better, take a shower and fall back in bed. Later one can take a shower and some small task, then stop and rest until the next day. I was lucky I got over it after 6 weeks, but it was the thing with the impossible name - I sat in bed and read books or knitted so I was soothed and not anxious about it. I took tiny steps and it seemed to help.
