I'll preface this by stating that I'm a registered Independent, and have no love for either of the broken, obsolete parties that currently dominate our system - but really, what can the Dems point to as any accomplishment or success in the last two years of controlling both the House and the Senate, and the Administrative Branch? Really nothing. On top of that, the loss of abortion rights should be viewed every bit as much as a Dem failure as a Republican success. Democratic voters have let their own party off way too easy in this last regard. While the Repub party has fully gone off the rails into crazy town, the Dem part has just become a pathetic failure on all fronts. All they can point to is, "Vote for us because we're not as crazy as the other option!" And then they wonder why there are more and more Independent voters every year....

  3. Actually, widespread ignorance is the key cause of our political upheaval. The internet merely amplifies that to unprecedented degrees.

  4.  @gemeinschaftsgeful  Which should surprise no one. People have been "monetizing ignorance" for a lot longer than the internet has been around. But the internet is capable of amplifying it to a larger audience in ways that are unprecedented.
